Project proposal summary

This innovative project seeks to improve the way schools report to parents and the community about the behaviours and attitudes of students by developing tools to assess values in the naturalistic setting of everyday activities at school. The project will involve students in the process of creating explicit criteria for goal setting and reflection. Through this participatory model, the project seeks to empower students to take responsibility for their actions and make responsible values-based choices. The process will also facilitate a review of teacher pedagogy in relation to values as they make consistent judgements.
