Connections and Reflections Forum
ACT Values Education Connections and Reflections Forum will be held on 18 November. This meeting will involve representatives from both Values in Action Schools Project funded clusters and the ACT Values Education and Student Wellbeing school projects. The ACT Values Education Advisory Committee will also be present at this meeting to share in the success of the projects and reflect on and plan how best to advance Values Education within the ACT in 2010.
Curriculum Market and Values Showcase
The ACT Curriculum Market and Values Showcase was held on Tuesday 1 September at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, Stirling. All schools involved in the 2009 Values Education and Student Well-being School project were involved in hosting static displays and sharing their project outcomes with over 500 teachers from ACT schools.
Refugee Realities Professional Development
An extremely successful Refugee Realities Professional Development day was held in conjunction with Oxfam. Thirty-five teachers from P-12 participated in a day-long workshop that focused on the simulation refugee camp Oxfam will be running in Canberra next year and the supporting teaching resources that have been compiled as part of the project.
