Values Education and the Australian Curriculum

A curriculum map of the three dimensions of the Australian Curriculum (learning areas, general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities) reveals the extent to which the key values education resources currently in existence can support schools to develop students who meet the goals of the Melbourne Declaration of becoming active and informed citizens.

Building Values Across the Whole School

Building Values Across the Whole School consists of two components: Teaching and Learning Units and a Professional Learning Program. Teaching and Learning Units is designed to assist schools and teachers to integrate values within key learning areas of the school curriculum.

Values in Action Schools Project: Final Report

Giving Voice to the Impacts of Values Education – The Final Report of the Values in Action Schools Project, October 2010 outlines the learnings and outcomes of 15 school clusters from around Australia that were funded by the Australian Government to design, implement and evaluate quality projects in values education.
